  • DO be respectful of other patients and staff.
  • DO NOT bring food or drink into the building (baby bottles excluded).
  • DO bring your child's favorite book or game to entertain your child while in the exam room.
  • DO NOT litter Pediatric office or parking lot.
  • DO take soiled diapers with you.
  • DO NOT smoke in or around the Pediatric office.
  • DO bring a list of questions or concerns.
  • DO NOT use cell phones in exam rooms.
  • DO be a "patient" patient.

Insurance Policy

PRIVATE INSURANCE

We are committed to providing your child with the best possible medical care. If you have special financial needs, we are willing to work with you. The following information is provided to avoid any misunderstanding or disagreement concerning payment for professional services. We will file insurance as a COURTESY; however...

YOU ARE ULTIMATELY RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR CHILD'S CHARGES.

Our Pediatric office accepts most private insurance companies. You are financially responsible for any amount not covered by your child's health insurance plan. You are financially responsible for all charges incurred in your child's care and treatment.

If you have questions about your insurance, we are happy to help. However, specific coverage issues should be directed to your insurance company member services department. The telephone number is usually located on your insurance card.

No Insurance Policy

NO INSURANCE

"Private Pay" patient~ if your child has insurance that we do not participate with or your child does not have insurance, payment in full is expected at the time of service. Your child will be a "Private Pay" patient in our Pediatric office.

We offer a prompt payment discount to "Private Pay" patients; if the charges are paid at the time of service you will receive a considerable discount. Please see our front desk if you have any questions.

LOUISIANA BAYOU HEALTH MEDICAID

We participate in all the Coordinated Care Plans of Bayou Health/Medicaid listed below:

It is important that you make sure that your Bayou Health/Medicaid Plan lists Dr. Brown's Pediatric office as your Primary Care Provider. Failure to have us listed as your Primary Care Provider will cause an undue wait time.

We are a certified Medicaid Application center.
